Robot Overview: C.U.R.R.Y
Description
Why That Name?
C.U.R.R.Y, our robot name, falls under a wide range of thoughts. It stands for "Code Understanding Robot Ready for You!". It's also named after Steph Curry, one of the best shooters in the NBA, which relates to our challenge, shooting balls into goalposts. Our team is South Asian, and curry is also a traditional food we all enjoy :)
Chassis
The chassis is made up of 4 motors, each connected to a wheel, The wheels we used are mechanum wheels, which allow the robot to move in any direction without turning.

Intake
Our intake runs on one motor, which is attached to the 2nd level with a chain. The intake is made up of surgical tubing, which can effectively pull in the artifacts when powered by the motor.
Outtake
The outtake of our robot consists of 2 extremely fast motors running at 6000 rpm (rotations/minute), each one attached to a wheel. The outtake is designed to be able to launch artifacts at high speeds with the friction from the wheels into the goals to score points.
